3 years ago I was a completely different person. I remember spending my weekends at the bars in Atlanta, dancing in my sticky heels, yelling over music, eating 2am pizza. I was working in a senior management role for one of the largest companies in the world, making great income, living a healthy lifestyle, but when the weekend came around, I did what I had been doing since college, along with 500 other 20-40 somethings every single weekend. For some reason, I never questioned it. I thought that was the only way to make friends and meet new people. There was nothing wrong with my life, except that I wasn’t actually fulfilled. I wasn’t meeting the type of men I wanted to date, I was climbing a work ladder that I didn’t actually want to reach the top of, and I felt disconnected from my purpose.
I’m not really sure how everything shifted, but I remember a few life changing moments that spiraled me towards something greater. The first was the day I paid off my student loans and bought a new car in cash. I finally felt free from the golden handcuffs, with no student debt and an entire world ahead of me. The second was the day I was sitting around a dinner table with 10 nomadic entrepreneurs at a Mindvalley conference in Estonia. As we went around the room introducing ourselves, I knew it would be the last time I gave this introduction. That week, I built a website, quit my job, gave up my apartment, and booked a flight to Barcelona.
It was one of those now or never moments. I could continue along or I could follow this nudge and take a massive risk to go rogue. It was the toughest decision of my life, that soon felt easy. It was as if this journey was written in a book long before I got here and it was time to step into the next storyline.
From that moment on, I became obsessed with helping people go after their purpose. I was brought into this world to REWILD humanity to do the things they have always wanted, to live in full expression, and to go against the grain.
